Movie Posters

For one of my class projects at Parsons, one of our assignments were to re-create existing movie posters from one director. I chose to re-design some of Christopher Nolan's films, The Dark Knight Trilogy, Interstellar, and Inception (some of my favorite). Instead of traditional movie poster designs, I went with a flat design and kept all posters consistent with each other so that they come as a collection.

New York City FC

While I was working for New York City Football Club, I was immensely involved with designing various marketing pieces for the new soccer club. I worked on designs that were displayed in Times Square, the NYCFC website, event invitations that were sent out to VIPs, MLS, club partners and supporters, along with the email template they currently use. It was a great learning experience where I was able to not only design but be involved with the marketing decisions to propel the club forward and generate more fans.

Charlotte Poster

For my photo lithography class, we had to design posters related to travel so I chose to design a poster for one of my favorite places, Charlotte, North Carolina. The tree growing out of the building represents the growth of Charlotte in the coming years and the colors are in honor of the Hornets coming back to Charlotte.

Movement Strategy

As a freelance graphic designer for Movement Strategy, I was assigned to work on designs for TruTV, USA Today and Xero. Movement Strategy is a full service social media agency so all of the designs were created for the web. I worked with fellow freelance designers along with the in-house designer, brainstorming ideas and how to make the designs more aesthetically and functionally pleasing.

The Broadway Hotel

In the summer of 2013, I was asked to design some marketing materials for a new hotel being built in Columbia, Missouri called the Broadway Hotel. This hotel is a boutique hotel, part of the Hilton brand. I designed facts sheets, folders, stationary and info cards. I also helped develop the hotel's brand identity during their baby stages of becoming an established business.

Half Baked Creamery

Birthed from a friend's dream of opening her own ice cream business, I helped that dream become closer to reality by designing a logo, stationary pieces and a menu that's made of real wood for a class project. The brand identity was heavily influenced by elements of the South to give off a friendly, warm and inviting vibe to a potential customer. She has started her business and everyone should check her out and order some ice cream @bettericecreamed.

Gem & Co.

In Fall 2012, I coordinated a photo-shoot to go on the company website for Gem & Co., a leading sock company based out of the US, Korea and China. I was in charge of picking out locations, outfits and took the photographs myself. These photos are a few examples of studio and lifestyle shots.

Nike+ Soccer

In my web design class, one of our assignments were to design and mock up a mobile app for an existing company or brand. I chose to mock up a soccer app for Nike and all of the futbol crazies out there. I wanted to keep it very simple and incorporate as much Nike influence as possible. (Finally, Nike came out with a soccer app).

Vantan Parsons Magazine

During my first semester at Parsons, our graphic design class was fortunate enough to document events from New York Fashion Week F/W 2013. I was able to go to a model casting call for a few designers from Japan and take some photos for the magazine our class was creating. I also went backstage in the Lincoln Center to capture moments of all the craziness of Fashion Week. I was in charge of designing the front/back cover along with the intro pages of the magazine.

Essex Gala

For one of our class projects, we worked with a local high school in NYC, designing products to be sold at their annual gala to help some of their students study abroad. Several of my designs were voted to be used as one of the main designs that were to go on tote-bags and button pins. The "Mr, Mrs, Ms" design was inspired by the school because the teachers encourage the students to call them by their first names in order for the students to feel comfortable with them. These designs were such a huge success at the gala and people wanted to purchase more.
